Dear Friends,
Thank you for your much needed support of our students during these unprecedented times. Through your generous donations and support, you are making life better for our students and helping create a high-quality, local workforce that meets the demands of the current and future job market.
In order to comply with Governor Carney’s State of Emergency Declaration, Delawareans should refrain from organizing or attending social gatherings of any size and shelter in place of residence, Delaware Tech’s Starry, Starry Night Gala scheduled for April 25, 2020, is canceled. The health of our guests, employees, volunteers, vendors, entertainers, and students is our primary concern. Fortunately, all of the committee’s hard work, creativity, and great thinking won’t be lost; we will visit Greece on Saturday, April 24, 2021, and I hope you will consider joining us again next year.
Proceeds from this year’s gala will not only support the purchase of high-tech classroom equipment that provides hands-on learning opportunities for our students, but will also increase scholarship opportunities for workforce training certificate programs that prepare students for high-demand jobs that lead to long-term employment. Despite our need to cancel this year’s event, I hope you will consider supporting Delaware Tech Owens Campus and continue to make a difference in the lives of our students. Your generous sponsorships and donations* provide the additional financial support our students need to graduate and become the foundation of Delaware’s workforce.
I truly appreciate your dedication to our students and will be sure to have a member of our team reach out to those who have pledged or already submitted a sponsorship payment for this year’s gala.
Again, thank you for your commitment to Delaware Tech.
With gratitude,

The Starry, Starry Night Gala | April 24, 2021
Evening Schedule
5:30 - 7 p.m.
Cocktail Reception 7 - 9 p.m. Sit-down Dinner 8 - 10 p.m. Greek Activities 9 - 11 p.m. Dancing and Desserts |
The Starry, Starry Night Gala is delving into the cradle of Western civilization this year. The Owens Campus will become the magically radiant and profound country of Greece. Guests will begin the evening mingling and networking during the cocktail reception at Hotel Bella Donna, a hotel featured in the movie Mamma Mia on the Kalokairi Island. After a sit-down dinner at Spondi Restaurant, an atmosphere of elegance, refinement, and authenticity, all guests will stroll through Grecian streets enjoying activities along the way.
A range of activities will offer guests a deeper understanding of the country. Whether it’s olive oil tasting, Olympic Games, mythological trivia, traditional Greek dances, karaoke, live music, or archery, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. At the end of the evening, back at Hotel Bella Donna, Dancing Dream Abba Tribute Band will take guests on a nostalgic trip back to the glitz and glamour of the 70s with music from the Broadway play Mamma Mia. |
